President's Message
Dear Brothers, Pledges, Prospective Members, Alumni, Parents, and other visitors,
Thank you for visiting our website, and for taking an interest in the activities of the Kappa Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi here at Virginia Tech!
In the realm of Greek Life, ten years is not a very long time to establish prominence as a fraternity, especially on a campus of over 30 other similar organizations. Nevertheless, following the celebration of our 10-year Anniversary this past fall, it was a marvel to reflect on how much our chapter has accomplished in our short time. By holding our Brothers and pledges to the highest standards: academically, athletically, socially, and spiritually, we have managed to build a Brotherhood of men who strive for nothing short of excellence. From the Student Government Association Executive Board and Class Office Presidents, to Orientation Leaders and Resident Hall Advisors, keep your eyes open for these three Greek letters, because Delta Sigma Phi is everywhere on the campus of Virginia Tech.
I am in my third year as a member of Delta Sigma Phi, and can say whole-heartedly that I have never been more proud to be a part of an organization. The men of Delta Sig pursue greatness in all that they do, while never forgetting what it is we most value: the bonds of Brotherhood that brought us all together, and the harmonious relationships we cherish amongst our family and friends. This is what I wanted when I came to Virginia Tech: to find my niche on such a large campus where I would be cared for, while also being challenged to reach my full potential. Delta Sigma Phi has created an atmosphere where my Brothers and I can succeed by fostering healthy lifestyles through a balance of academics, athletics, service to our community, and a great social calendar. We take pride in all we do, but most importantly, we are proud of the bonds of Brotherhood that tie us all together.
2008 promises to be a fun and exciting year for our fraternity. We stand on the verge of something truly great, and we invite you all to be a part of this as we determine both our future as individuals and as a fraternity as a whole. The men around me challenge me every day of my life to be the best I can be, and I invite you to join us as we continue to pursue excellence.
Dare to Be Great!
Joey Muffler
