SPRING 2012 RUSH SCHEDULE:

  • Monday Jan. 30st - IFC Greek Showcase 6PM-8PM at Owens Ballroom

  • Wednesday Feb. 1st - Meet and Greet at the House 6 PM to 9PM Featuring Solstice All Female A Cappella performance

  • Friday Feb. 3rd - Sports events on the Drillfield 3PM to 6PM (soccer, ultimate, football, etc.)

  • Monday Feb. 6th - Breakzone in Squires 7PM to 9PM (Pool, table tennis, bowling)

  • Web Feb. 8th - Poker Night at the House 6PM to 9PM

  • Sun. Feb 12th - Closed Rush at the House 12PM

Better Men, Better lives: A simple motto that we here at Delta Sigma Phi embody and live every day. Through the investment of brotherhood and friendship, each member is prescribed the tools that can truly allow for them to make the most out of their lives, and in turn, help to better the lives of the people and community around them. On Feb. 2nd, we invite you to come share our passion for excellence and friendship as we provide you the opportunity to see what exactly Delta Sig is all about. During rush, you will be given the opportunity to learn more about all the different fraternities that Virginia Tech has to offer and learn more about what each of them stand for. As for Delta Sig, we would love to share with you our perspective on bettering a man’s life and his overall college experience. With a strong and established social reputation with all of the major sororities, one of the most academically successful fraternities on the campus, strong leadership in numerous amounts of campus organizations, competitive athletic teams, an award winning community service program, successful alumni, a philanthropy that donates thousands to the Red Cross, and a close brotherhood founded on diversity, Delta Sig provides every tool imaginable to amplify a man’s college career. These experiences have really impacted every member at Delta Sig, and we would love to share our experiences from the fraternity with you at our events. I personally look forward to seeing and getting to know many of you during Rush.

Live. Learn. Grow. Delta Sigma Phi: a brotherhood of men who promote intellectual growth, personal development, and a healthy lifestyle to its members. Delta Sigma Phi is seeking men who have the character and strong desire to support its core values. The Kappa Delta chapter of Delta Sig comprises of high-potential men who welcome the opportunity to take on new challenges in areas such as scholarship, athletics, community service, philanthropy, leadership, and social activity. Because of its focus on these areas, brothers are extremely involved in a wide variety of organizations throughout the campus and community.

Rush

Rush is a week and a half long process beginning February 2rd and ending on February 11th. We will be hosting events that give you the opportunity to meet the brothers of Delta Sigma Phi throughout that period. At the end of Rush, we will host a “Closed Rush” invitation only event. At Closed Rush you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Kappa Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi and what we are all about. Bid Handout will take place on February 16th, which is an event where you find out which fraternities are extending you an invitation to join the organization. You have two days to make your decision and Bid Acceptance is on February 18th.

The schedule of Delta Sigma Phi’s Rush Events will be posted soon. We will host events at our Chapter House, on the Virginia Tech campus, and throughout the Blacksburg community. The events will consist of anything from a cookout to a poker night to paintball. We encourage you to come to every event you are able to so you get to know as many different brothers as you can.

Pledging

Pledging is a semester long process designed for you to learn everything about our fraternity and the brothers of the fraternity. Delta Sigma Phi has a strict No Hazing policy. You will make lifelong friends built on brotherhood and trust. At the end of the semester if you have met the requirements set at the beginning of the semester, you will become an initiated brother of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.
